This is a very long and involved quest that splits into three separate quests before merging back into this quest. I will create separate guides for the other quests and link them into this one. Your first step will be to head to Faydwere and into the Greater Faydark area to find Lady Alethea Jyleel. She is located in Joleena’s Restaurant in the treetop city of Kelethin (location 534 77 322 on the second level).

Alethea will give you a task before she will allow you to aid in her quest. Your task is a simple one of finding Rhymes that are located in Kelethin inside of 10 min. These things are very hard to find requiring you to duck, and weave behind things. The hardest one to reach maybe near the Royal Fae Court which has KoS level 70 and 75 guards to Freeportians.

• Aerie post: 432 105 509 (Under the platform, can reach by heading to 405 105 496).
• Bough Post: 176 125 62 (On the tip of the branch, follow the path at 158 11 81 to get to it).
• Court House Post: 378 140 172 (Jump at 388 138 197 to the higher area to avoid the guards).
• Library Post: 133 108 185
• Old Lift Post: 42 92 83
• Memorial Post: 317 102 320 (start at 336 93 349 and go around the tree stump).

Head back to Lady Alethea Jyleel with the collected Rhyms. Talking to her you will learn that the Rhyms’s home has been destroyed for some unknown reason. Your next task will be to head down to the Gulley of the Ursa Rhym to find the village of the Rhyms. Head to 620 7 -225 where you will receive an update and where you will begin your “investigation.”

After some scrutiny you cannot figure out what all of those items mean. However remembering what Alethea said you decide to head out to the Steamfont Mountains to find Inspector Berlok. This little investigative gnome can be found in GnomeLand Security HQ at -648 174 1077. You will have to be careful how you talk to Berlok because one wrong saying and you have to start over.

This is what you will press/say to Berlok to advance your quest:

• What did you do in your youth?
• I wish I could be a great investigator like you were in your youth.
• When you were young you must have been a great writer.
• I think reading helps you stay young.
• When you were young, did you ever get lost?
• In your younger days, you must have taught the Gnomeland Security all you know.
• Were you this crazy when you were young or is this an old age thing?
• Have you seen the city of Felwithe?
• When you were young, you must have seen some splendid shields.
• That accounts for two books. Where is the last?

After that bit of weirdness your task is to head into Felwithe to find the three books Berlok spoke of. At this point I will warn everyone that I did this with my level 70 character. If your toon is less than that level it maybe difficult to do this next part if your not in a group. Also As said at the beginning of this walkthrough you must have the High Elf language primer. To get it if your evil aligned you must buy it from the barkeep in Crow’s Resting Place. If you don’t you will not be able to decipher pieces of the next part of the quest forcing you to run back there.

The 1st book comes from the splendid shield that is mounted on the wall at -310 53 -858. This will start the A Poem to the Past side quest. *Note: You must have the high elf language primer. If you are evil this can be bought in Crow’s bar from the barkeep for 12s. You may also want to purchase the Guktan language primer.*

The 2nd book is in a water tight chest at -194 -8 -920 near the entrance to New Tunaria. Examining the chest starts the A Water Tight Case side quest.

For the third and final book you will find it at -345 53 -874 and you will have to examine it. This starts a collection quest and the page updates can be found near the big tree near the book you found. You will need to collect 6 pages and turn it into a collector.
