Quest Info (May 10, 2008)
This quest can only be started after completing the Return to Murrar Shar quest. Heading back to Jabber Longwind in TT you will ask him if he knows about the Qeynos Claymore and the Barren Sky with its palaces. Longwind will give you this speal about how the barren sky is dangerous and information regarding "the great ruckus" as he calls it. In order to advance you will have to say that you hate the name "the great ruckus" which will insult him and he will ask you to provide a more suitable name. No matter how cool or interesting the other names are you have to pick "The Feathered Flay" in order to advance.
You will convince Jabber Longwind to help you out and he will give you your first objective. Luckily this is a simple task and requires you to head to vultak island using the Teleporter there to The Barren Sky. You will meet Jabber Longwind near the teleporter in The Barren Sky and he will inform you that he has talked to the elders. Now you have to find a way to Whisperwind island which can be accessed in one of two ways. You can use the cloud station on the island your on or you can evac to whisper wind island, however I don't know if evacing will update the quest.
After recieving your update you will need to find the two elders longwind spoke of. These two are up the wall in the hool'uk refuge hideout and are located towards the back of the area. Finding the elders you will have to offer something to them in order to recieve their assistance with the search. The first thing and only thing you can offer up is an alliance with your home city Freeport or Qeynos. This will intrigue the two elders and they accept it but you must proove yourself to them so that they can trust you.
They send you to Cloudmist island and in the middle of that island you must kill nebula hazes to make The Ghastly Overcast spawn. When you kill this named creature its alter ego will spawn named The Gentle Breeze. You will ask The Gentle Breeze to bathe the whisperwind island in clouds to hide its location from the more agresive vultaks and aviaks in The Barren Sky. The Gentle Breeze will agree to do so however you must now do something for him in return for his generous gesture towards your plight.
It will babble on about whistles, pop pebbles, and crystals that you must get for him. The Pop Pebbles can be found on the Isle of the Awakening and are mineable rocks which you get 3 pop pebbles from that do not appear in your inventory. The whistles you need come from the Bloodscale Breeders towards the back part of the Isle of Awakening. Unfortunately this part is hit and miss because it can take two to three bloodscale breeders before you get an update. It can also be hit and miss because you may not recieve an update for the time you get the correct Bloodscale Breeder. Be prepared to kill alot of Bloodscale Breeders if you are soloing and even more so if you are in a group.
The final update comes from Crystalline Burrowers that are located on Blackwind Isle. These guys are located inland and will appear as crystals poking up out of the sand being 66 to 68 high end ^ solo creatures. Again it may take several of these buggers to recieve all of the updates you require and even more so if you are in a group.
With all of these offerings collected for The Gentle Breeze head back to Cloud Mist Isle to give them to him. You may have to kill the nebula hazes again in order to make The Ghastly Overcast spawn inturn respawning The Gentle Breeze. Once you talk to The Gentle Breeze head back to the Hoo'luk refuge and talk to the elders to finish up this quest. I won't spoil what happens but it seems you miss interpreted something from the mumbling elder.
