Your first stop on your epic quest will be the North Freeport Library in the basement. It is in the basement near the elevator that you will find a suspicious NPC directly ahead of you. Going up to him and hailing him the npc will say, "I have been discovered, kill the interloper" or something along those lines. The NPC you just hailed will turn into a high-end level 82 ^ heroic mob with a regular soloable mob attached to him. To deal with these two mobs I recommend first using death march, then despoil *whatever tier you have*, then use your life pact or grave blessing ability. After that it is completely up to you how you wish to finish off the NPCs.

Once both of them are killed a chest will drop with an envelope in it with a hiring contract. This contract is the starter for the epic quest line and your task will be to find a lead to the hiring contract. Your target is an NPC in the dark lightwoods named Marla K’Stane. She can be found inside a house in Hate’s Envy (-408 -62 204). After talking to her you’ll anger her saying you have no further use of her. She’ll turn into a level 85 ^ solo mob and you will have to kill her to get the update. She isn’t very difficult to kill and you do not have to do anything special to face her.

After K’Stane’s defeat head back to Freeport to find your next clue. The update is called a “misplaced file” which is located in west Freeport in the militia house. You will find it as a clipboard icon next to Viscount Gelvonius on the side of the table. With this update in hand your task is to head to find Sayex Nevagon coercing him to relinquish The Bone Shield of Laarthik K’Shin.

Sir Sayex Nevagon the Lucanic knight can be found at 301 -4 143 in west Freeport just outside the inn. Sir Sayex will be reluctant to give away his family’s precious treasure, but with a bit of persuasion you’ll show him it’s for the best. After obtaining the shield you’ll need to read the scroll in your inventory you got off K’Stane to see what you need to do next. This time around you have a shopping list of items to obtain.

• 30 unmarred bones from powerful sentient beings
• skull of a Teir’Dal Champion
• skull of a Feir’Dal Champion
• 10 vials of blood from Teir’Dal and Feir’Dal warriors

(Note: I recommend getting the Skulls first and letting the Teir'Dal and Feir'Dal warriors attack you. They have a chance to update the 30 bones part of the quest.)

Your first stop should be Neriak to get the skull of the Teir’Dal Champion. As you are proceeding to the item you will have to be on guard for the level 83 ^ high-end mobs. They are severely underconned and will kill you if you are not prepared to take them down. However the good news is if you get them near the epicx2 guards the guards will assist you with the kills.

After killing 10 of the relic guardians and obtaining the Teir’Dal Champion’s skull your next stop will be New Tunaria. Just like Neriak you will be assaulted by level 83 ^ relic guardians. Again these mobs are underconned and if you are not prepared they will kill you rather quickly. It is suggested that you at least have a healer with you so you have a more prepared fight. You will need to head to the New Tunaria graveyard near the castle to obtain the Feir’Dal champion’s skull. It is on top of a tombstone at -474 68 -138 and as you approach the skull a level 83 ^ relic guardian will attack you.

If you are still shy of the 30 unmarred bones part it is best to head to Jarsath Wastes and kill the scorpion iksar. Having a decent group you can plow through them, however it can take 10 or more kills for 1 update. You can also kill the fishmen on the beach area and surrounding the shard of luclin.

With all your updates in hand head to Neriak and when you come to the first bridge jump over it into the water. In a small secluded tunnel at -156 -5 134 you will find a crypt. Approaching the crypt you will get an automatic update and then will harvest a pile of bones at the same location. You will need to put everything you have obtained into the crypt speaking the words of the ceremony aloud *Just right click the tomb till a ghost shows up*. Speak to the ghost to find out more information about your next task.
