Restoring Ghoulbane

This quest is pretty difficult if you are an evil character however it is easy if you are a good character. Your first task is to visit a person in Nettlesville Hovel named Vida who will tell you that she needs a new broom. The quest is a simple run and get quest with the reward being a dusty blue stone however this is the item you need in order to initiate restoring ghoulbane. Once you examine the "A dusty blue stone" you will head out to a person who can help you identify what the stone is or could be.

The first person is located in Graystone yard in the mining pit and is a dwarf who will tell you he needs to study it a bit. While he studies it he needs some rock samples from the Thundering Steppes which will pay him back for helping you out. Heading out to the Thundering Steppes you will need to harvest from windswept stones getting the different mineral pieces you need. Once you have obtained all the mineral pieces head back to the dwarf who will tell you that he has no idea what the stone is because it isn't natural. However you aren't left empty handed because he says to seek out a person that may know about magical items/mystical items.

This person is located in the mage tower in South Qeynos in the room with the achievement person who resets your AA points. While he studies the item your task will be a simple one where you must deliver a message to someone in Thundermist Village. After this simple errand you will return to the person who says the item unfortunately has no known details or magical properties. However the item does seem to have a divine aura about it and you should seek out someone who can tell you about divine items as well as divine artifacts.

The person you need to talk to is in North Qeynos near the celestial watch temple "aka Flying Saucer." You will seek out a person named Toranim Skyblade who will tell you he knows what the item is but needs you to find an item in stormhold. Unfortunately you need to complete another quest or find a person who has completed the "A Key To The Past" quest in order to obtain this update. The update is grabbing a sword named "Ghoulbane" From the left side of the wall returning it to Skyblade to prove his theory. Indeed it turns out the stone was part of the legendary sword of ghoulbane that was used to slay evil undead creatures.

If you want to re imbue the weapon you will need to slay two powerful monsters then a nasty epic monster. Your first monster since you're in Qeynos should be the creature in the crypt of betrayal called the Specter of Ire. There is no fixed location for this monster however if you go around killing the ire minions and warlocks revisiting the spots after they have spawned you will get him eventually. Your next target will be The Creator who is in the enchanted clay room in the Ruins of Varsoon. If The Creator is not up you will have to kill his PH who stands in his place in the middle of the room. Again this can take up to 9 kills of the PH to spawn The Creator so don't get discouraged if it takes a long time.

Your third monster is the Descendant of Torig better known as the Vampire Torig who resides in the Cauldron Hollow. The Vampire Torig raid encounter has been changed due to a recent Game Update/Live Update. He is now a level 39-41x2 creature with 2-3 minions.

With Torig dead your final ending kill will be nothing compared to what you just endured. You will head out to Nektropos Castle where you will have to kill Malthus Everling which was the original intent of the sword's previous wielder. If you have not done the locket quest you will have to do it in order to reach everling. However if one person has already done it you will be in luck and you can bypass everything going straight for Everling.
