This language is quested for and you recieve the quest when you are at or above level 60.You can only obtain this language if you have the Kingdom of Sky expansion pack. The name of this quest is Words of a Feather for reference. To learn the volant language you will first need to locate Turk who is near the teleporter to Norrath so it is best to go to the wizard spire in Nektulos or Thundering steppes to reach this NPC. His exact location is -592 -47 -439 and he will begin to teach you the basics of the bird language. Turk will then direct you to Polly who is located up three climbable walls past Turk. Polly's exact location is -655 +7 -517 in the little Hooluk hideout.

However Polly's a bit forgetful thinking you are one of her other students named "Jerom" and after some time will send you home for being bad. The first thing to do is ditch the note because you are not likely to run into your parents up in that area. You will have to head inbetween the cloud landing pad for whisper wind island and the edge of the island itself. It may take a second or so to update but if you walk along the edge of the island it should update. Your quest will then instruct you to head to Turk to get some help out with this little predicament.

Turk upon hearing the case will tell you its alright and this happens alot. He will hand to you a forged note but will tell you it won't be as simple as giving her the note. You will have to get the preverbial "apple for the teacher" by getting some special fruit on the island taking it back to Polly. The special fruit you need is called Cactusarii Zephryi and it is to the left side of the island if you are facing the island from the cloud landing pad. The bushes will have the name Cactusarii Zephryi above the models and you will be able to harvest them. Luckly you only need 5 of these fruits to appease the teacher you were bad to.

After obtaining the 5 Cactusarii Zephryi head back to Polly so you can continue learning the volant language. At the end of the lesson Polly will send you back to Turk for your final lesson. If you have payed close attention the answers should be simple enough to complete this quest. However if you have not paid close attention the answer for the first question is Vultak and the answer to the second question is Who ah uh uh hah.

Congratulations you have now learned the basics of the Volant language and can now understand Vultak, Aviak, and Hooluk words. A small side note hereyou will need this language to complete a small series of quests from the vultaks that reward some very nice items. You will also need this language for later high end quests.
