Raid Tactics

Protector's Realm

Zone Walkthrough/Information

Defeating all of the skeletons will give the four shards to random people within the raid so you will have to make sure everyone checks their inventories. You will give these shards to the main tank and then move the raid into the main room with the giant snake. When the raid is ready have the main tank talk to the gnome (Meldrath) who will say give you some speech about heading out to take care of the treasure. This is nothing more than a trigger and you have 20 to 40 seconds to prep your group for the battle with Doomcoil.

When the gnome gives a final speech you will have about 10 seconds to get preheals in before Doomcoil springs to life. At 3-5 Seconds away have your groups activate their AoE ward spells because 99% of the time Doomcoil will cast his two AoEs at the start of the fight which can instantly wipe you. For the fight have the MT pull Doomcoil towards the coffin in the very back of the room *that little nook area* and have everyone else stand by the door if possible wedged into the corner. You will have to move in and out to heal the MT and the support tanks.

During the course of the fight doomcoil will trigger a deaggro ability and aggro off of the maintank. This usually means he's 3-5 seconds away from activating his AoE ability which will wipe the entire raid. Have a support tank or the MT use a quick snap aggro ability to get him back onto a tank and back into the corner. The closer you are to his AoE the more damage it will do. One tip for this fight is for everyone to target doomcoil and if doomcoil isn't seen targeting someone else it is probably on you. If it is on you run it over to the corner where the MT was/is so you can prevent a raid wipe.

You do not want anyone to revive because they will revive outside of the magical barrier and won't be able to assist in the fight even with AoEs. Have a healer quickly revive people if they can so they can get back into the fight. For every death Doomcoil will heal himself by 2% making this fight difficult, but not impossible. With some time you can quickly kill this overgrown clockwork contraption and move onto the next fight. If you wipe you will not be able to fight doom coil again 1 on 1 and will have to face him along with the other 4 named epicx4 creatures.

Having killed doomcoil you will head down the hall and confront the 4 nameds that locked you in that room. These adventurers are rather difficult to deal with and require 2 tanks possibly 3 to make it go smoother. Have everyone ready on the stairs and have the main tank pull the group into the corner just passed the stairs. Your first target will be the 2 froglocks and with them done you will kill Blorgok. Blorgok has the least HP and will die quickly to sufficient dps. After him you will take on the healer of the raid party Jracol who will put up a decent amount of resistance. She will constantly heal herself and the rest of the raiders, but will go down with sufficient dps.

After you take down Jracol you'll start hammering away on Meldrath. Meldrath has a nasty buff on him that will damage those who are hurting him plus knock them back. This buff has a 5-10% chance to activate per ability/spell cast on him. Ontop of this it will cast a deaggro which will make it difficult for tanks to get ahold of him. However he doesn't have much HP like Blorgok and will go down rather quickly with sufficient force. The last target will be Ludmila who is the hardest of all the raiders. She has the highest HP, does a good bit of damage to whatever tank she is on and can charm anyone in the raid force turning them against you. This can be difficult if she charms a high dps class like a wizard, warlock or assassin so cure this quickly.

You will know that ludmila has charmed someone when she says "How About you work for me" or something along those lines. Luckily the charm ability is arcane so healers can cure it or caster classes. The order will always go Blorgok, Jracol, Meldrath and Ludmila due to health as well as their levels of difficulty.

With all of those named taken care of your final objective will be The Protector or Imzok's Revenge for the technical people. The next page will be devoted to Imzok and the strategy for taking him down.
