Veeshan's Peak 1st Wing

Zone Walkthrough/Information

Veeshan's Peak is the final frontier so to speak within the T4 raiding content of Kunark when it was released. Almost all trash inside Veeshan's peak will be level 86x4 epics requiring a good bit of concentration. There are several mobs in there that are drake, elemental and golemn type based so having these master strikes will help out tremendously. Getting to Veeshan's Peak from the Firey Mountains with a full raid maybe tricky, but after time it will become a normal routine.

Once inside Veeshan's peak you will have your MT start pulling trash as you slowly proceed down the stairs. When you reach an area with 4 elemental mobs it will be difficult to pull just 1 mob, but with careful line of site aggro it can be done. These globulal mobs are elemental fire based mobs so Warden and Fury elemental attacks will do double damage to them. Throughout Veeshan's peak you will encounter the fire mobs, Wyverns, Wurms, Droags, Drakes, and Statues. These are all trash mobs and for the Droags, Drakes, Statues, and Fire Elementals you should have your smite abilities.

Proceeding onward you will eventually reach a round room with Velociraptor things running around in the circle plus several drakes flying above. You will need to have your main raid force stay down the hallway then pull the velociraptor things back to you to avoid the drake adds. As a note it is the Drakes in this room that will respawn so if you die make sure your party stays down having 1 person run back that can revive plus has feign death or can teleport to a person left alive after a wipe. One tool that is very useful is the orb from The Estate Of Unrest the Hag drops. You can get the one that teleports a person to you or get one that allows you to teleport to that person. Also it is very useful to have most of the raiders be tinkerer's as a secondary tradeskill class so they can use the Call of the Tinkerer. This will allow a person with 350 tinkering skill to automatically teleport to a person within the raid.

After you have cleared the round room of most of the creatures you will finally head towards the left opening clearing trash all the way to your first named encounter. Kluzen The Protector will probably be the easiest mob that you encounter in this zone and drops some fairly nice gear. As for strategy you need to have your MT pull him to the little notch either on the left or right side of the hallway that's behind him. During the fight he will cast a nasty AoE based attack that has a knockback, damage component, and stuns whoever is within range for 5-6 seconds. The name of the ability is called Wingbeat unless it has changed. Other than that attack he should go down relatively quickly.

With Kluzen defeated you will head up the to the left (Left of Kluzen if you are going towards him) and head towards Elder Ekeron. Crossing the bridge to elder ekeron will be difficult because every so often it will knock a person around either forward, back, left or right. If the person that is knocked around falls off the bridge he/she will land in some lava and potentially trigger the encounter. To position yourself for the fight you will head down the staircase and when ready have your MT pull elder ekeron towards the wall that is closest to the staircase. During the fight elder ekeron will call a minion to it's aid from the lava directly behind it. This happens at specific intervals of health so you will have your offtank group ready to take this creature on. However the problem is when the creature spawns it will cast an automatic AoE within its vicinity that will stun everyone. Having your off tank go up first and take the force then having healers run in to cure it will help out.

Now once you kill this add he will limp over to a bunch of eggs in a nest causing more adds to spawn. Kill these adds as quickly as possible then have the raid force go back to debuffing and damaging Elder Ekeron. If Elder Ekeron isn't sufficiently debuffed he/she will hit the tank for 15-25% of their health. Luckily this is basically the entire fight and if you can deal with the second and third waves you have almost won. At the instant Elder Ekeron dies it will unleash 6-7 ^^^ heroic smaller Wurms that will attack your party. These are easily dispatched and once they are taken care of your master chest will drop.
