Within the land of Norrath there are many different dieties.  Everquest 2 has carried over this tradition with Nine gods and goddesses being introduced in the expansion Echoes of Faydwere. Three more dieties were introduced with the expansion Rise of Kunark.

You are not required to worship these dieties, but doing the quests for these dieties can reward you. The rewards range from small simple pets to altars where you can pray. These altars grant blessings and miracles to players in exchange for diety faction.
